Couch Surfing Anyone?

I found this interesting website called Couch Surfing where the traveling junkie can join up in this network of people who like traveling.  It's a unique site because it promotes people who have decided to open their homes to strangers also found on this network.  You can sleep on couches around the world, which for many people is just one more new way of traveling. 

After being a member for little over a year I finally got my first couch request.  It was a gentleman from up North of the states and he had come down to pick up a motorcycle to drive back up.  It was a late drop in and an early leave, but we had a brief chat and parted ways amicably. 

Today I got yet another request from an older couple who will be in town for a wedding.  It's little ways of joining the sophisticated world of travelers, especially if you're low on money or unable to travel at the moment, because you can bring the world to your couch and make new friends.
